Although I had to skim through all the steamy parts, this was a quite delightful rom-com that I highly recommend for those looking for an adorable, light, laugh out loud novel that hits all the right notes. Now Elle and Darcy find themselves in a “fauxmance” just to make a few social events more palatable, up until New Year’s Eve. Needless to say, another date doesn’t seem to be in the cards for these two, until Darcy fibs to her brother Brendon that the date was a success just to get him off her back. Despite Margot Cooper’s coupled friends’ best efforts, she remains happily single. After being set up on a blind date by Darcy’s brother, sparks fly as do the drinks, and not in a good way. Lambda Award winner Bellefleur’s heartwarming third Written in the Stars romance (after Hang the Moon) sees childhood friends forced to confront their complicated past while planning a wedding.
